Our journey began in 2011 at the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University. Over the years, we have led numerous neuroimaging research studies, working closely with children, families, and elderly individuals impacted by neuro-developmental and psychiatric conditions. Many of our participants joined these studies not for direct benefit, but out of hope that their contribution might one day lead to better care, better understanding, and better lives for others. Their altruism inspired us deeply, and their vulnerability called us to action. We saw the sorrow and desperation in the eyes of patients and families facing the daily realities of mental illness. We listened to their stories—of confusion, of stigma, of endless trial and error—and we took their pain seriously. Through years of close collaboration with clinicians, patients, and caregivers, we gained a deep understanding of the struggles and unmet needs that persist in mental health care today. At Walnot, we are building more than technology—we are building trust. We are committed to empowering researchers, clinicians, and patients with tools that are accessible, reliable, and grounded in real-world needs.
We design with deep respect for the people we serve—patients, families, and researchers alike
Scientific rigor and data privacy are non-negotiable management.
We believe that cutting-edge neurotechnology should be usable beyond the lab
We bridge research and real-world impact through partnerships, not silos
Every line of code, every device we build, is in service of better brain health
